Notes 4 No-One

"Now I've asked you forty different ways and its time you came up with a different answer..."

Walk The Line with Joaquin Pheonix and Reese Witherspoon, it's one of my all-time favorites.
Super pure. It's got enough substance that it keeps my interest but also enough of a love story to keep yours.
I sit here in a state of numbness as I try to write, not really sure exactly what to put down. It's like a hurricane of thoughts whirling around in my head and I find it difficult to focus on just one...

...Why do you keep forgiving me?...

...Like, there's now been 4 specific occasions in my mind where I thought - Well that's it, she's never going to speak to me again after that... - So why are you still here?
Is it that saying, treat em' mean keep em' keen, is that what it is?
Was it right all along?
I fucking knew it... I've cracked the code!
An incredible feat for men everywhere.

I see you peeking over from the distance and see you may be willing to talk.
It may be because I told you not to contact me that you're not calling and that's fair.
I guess, for me, the main thing that stands out is that if nothing has changed on your end, there's no point us talking.
We already know how that conversation goes.
It would be nice to touch base, I certainly get a sense of happiness when I see a new picture of you, but if we were to start talking again my question would be... Why?
Why do it?
I mean, we both know what that's like by now, right?
Fun, passionate and exciting...
...but also, deceitful, hollow and troublesome.

We all spend time thinking and reflecting and I have no doubt that you've done your fair share, and I do wonder what that time brought you.
Because I truly have no idea.

Don't stop doing what you're doing, I won't either.
I envision us getting through the next 8 days and then who knows, maybe I stumble across The Elm one afternoon at 12.30pm.
...No paper trail, just an accidental coincidence...
